Andy Sim — full name Kamsan Sim — is an experienced Creative Director and webmaster with 25 years in the technology industry, and the founder of Angkor Design.
He began his career in 1999 as a computer instructor at the Cambodia Institute for Development and Human Rights (CIDH) and the International Khmer American Institute (IKAI). In 2005 he moved into website design at Cambodia Angkor Real Estate Co., Ltd. (C.A.R.E.), and in 2009 into the hospitality industry at Angkor Miracle Resort & Spa.
Over the years he has worked with Borei Angkor Resort & Spa, NagaWorld Casino & Resort and Thansur Bokor Casino & Resort, and served as Group Creative Director for Memoire Resort & Spa. He then started his own team, specialising in web design and hosting, mobile app development, interactive multimedia and hospitality software. Since 2018 he has focused on SEO, SEM, EDM and digital marketing, and writes here to share what that work has taught him.
In October 2025 he was one of the judges at the Turing Hackathon Cycle 9 in Siem Reap, organised by the Techo Startup Center. Away from the screen he photographs Cambodia's natural places, often by drone.

Mostly hospitality and tourism. He has delivered work for Angkor Miracle Resort & Spa, Borei Angkor Resort & Spa, NagaWorld Casino & Resort and Thansur Bokor Casino & Resort, and served as Group Creative Director for Memoire Resort & Spa — alongside e-commerce, corporate and real-estate clients.

Andy Sim founded Angkor Design and is its Creative Director. The studio has been building websites, online stores and mobile apps from Cambodia since 2005, with offices in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh.
What does Andy Sim write about?

Has Andy Sim judged or spoken at any events?
In October 2025 he was one of the judges at the Turing Hackathon Cycle 9 in Siem Reap, organised by the Techo Startup Center.
What free tools has Andy Sim published?

All of them are free, with no account.
Why work with Andy Sim?
Because the person who quotes the project is the person who runs it. He has spent 25 years in the work — website design and development, hosting, mobile apps and UI/UX — and more than a thousand businesses have been through it with him since 2005. Much of that is hospitality: hotels and resorts across Cambodia, where a website has to take a booking, not just look good. He works in Khmer and English, agrees a timeline and tells you before a date moves, and stays with the site after launch rather than handing over a folder and disappearing.
Does Andy Sim speak Khmer as well as English?
Yes — both. Meetings, briefs, training and support can be in Khmer or English, whichever your team is comfortable in, and content can be written and published in either.
What do you get before you commit to anything?
A free consultation, and the plan that comes out of it: a draft sitemap for the site, the page architecture underneath it, and — for an app — the list of features worth building first and the ones that can wait. It is yours whether or not you go ahead. Most budgets are lost to pages and features nobody needed, so the planning happens before the quote rather than after it.
Does Andy Sim design logos as well as websites?
Yes. Logo and brand basics are part of the design work when a business needs them — a logo, its use across the site, and the type and colour that go with it — alongside UI/UX design for the website or app itself.
Does Andy Sim deliver projects on time?
That is the commitment: an agreed timeline at the start, one person responsible for it, and word before a date moves rather than after. Most messages are answered within the hour, and the studio has been running since 2005 — long enough that projects are built to be maintained, not just delivered.
